Privacy policy

Shade Plus is made by NCOD Technologies ("we"). This policy explains what information our software and services handle, where it is kept and for how long. It covers the Shade Plus office software, the Shade Field app for salesmen, the bills app at bills.shadeplus.in, our relay service at relay.shadeplus.in, and this website.
Your books stay in your office
Shade Plus keeps a business's accounts (parties, sales, bills, collections, ledgers and reports) on that business's own server, usually a computer in its office. We do not receive or keep a copy of those books. When we give remote support, we connect to the office computer only with the business's permission.
What passes through our relay
Some features need a service on the internet. Our relay, hosted in India, handles only what each feature needs:
- Office registration. The business name, the office's connection to the relay, and the devices paired with it.
- Voice lists from Shade Field. The sale lines a salesman sends (customer, item, quantity, rate) wait on the relay until the office takes them, and are kept for up to 14 days.
- WhatsApp documents. A PDF passes through the relay on its way to WhatsApp and is not kept. The record of who was sent which document stays in the office software.
- Retailer bills. When an agent sends a day bill to a retailer, the relay keeps it for 45 days, stored against the retailer's phone number so the retailer can see bills from every agent in one place. We record when a bill link is first opened, the devices signed in (up to 5), whether the app is installed, and the notification subscription if the retailer turns notifications on.
Speech in Shade Field
Shade Field turns speech into sale lines using the speech recogniser built into the Android phone, provided by Google. Malayalam recognition needs an internet connection, and the audio is processed by Google under Google's own terms. Shade Field does not record or keep audio.
Each business sends WhatsApp messages from its own WhatsApp Business number, connected through Meta. Documents go only to parties who have a WhatsApp number on record and have agreed to receive them. A party can reply STOP to stop messages. Message text carries no amounts; amounts stay inside the PDF.
This website
shadeplus.in uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when you open a page.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent information to anyone.
- We do not use a business's or a retailer's information for advertising.
- We do not share it, except with the service providers named above (Google, Meta, our hosting provider) to make a feature work, or when the law requires it.
Security and backups
Connections to the relay and the bills app are encrypted (HTTPS). The relay's database is backed up nightly and backups are kept for a limited period. Keys for WhatsApp and notifications are held only on the relay, never in the apps.
Your choices
A retailer can ask the agent, or us, to stop sending bills and to delete the bills kept for their phone number. A business can ask us to remove its office registration and everything the relay holds for it. To make a request or ask a question, contact us at +91 75111 17868.
